01 / 05 Live from PubMed, social posts and search

Patient psychographic map

A consult shows one version of a patient. Adherence, lifestyle, and what they search and say online show another, and that one usually decides. This map reads the second from PubMed abstracts, from posts on Bluesky, Mastodon and Lemmy, from Google search suggestions and Wikipedia readership, and looks for what actually moves people. Every claim traces back to the source it came from.

Care team communications assistant

When patients contact care teams, this assistant triages the message, checks their records, and drafts a reply based on approved language and tone. A coordinator reviews and decides what sends. Developed for a virtual sleep clinic using Healthie EMR and Spruce communication tools. Reproduced with synthetic data.

A red team suite run against the drafting assistant: prompt injection, scope creep, unsafe clinical advice, PHI leakage. The report is generated from an actual run.

An interactive tool for reading association structure across metabolites. The NCBI analysis is run ahead of time, so the maps open instantly instead of stalling on a query that takes minutes.

Your Brain on ChatGPT: Accumulation of Cognitive Debt when Using an AI Assistant for Essay Writing Task

Fifty-four participants wrote essays using either an LLM, a search engine, or no tools, with EEG throughout. The LLM group showed the weakest neural coupling, recalled their own sentences least accurately, and reported the lowest sense of ownership.

Detection of KMT2A partial tandem duplication in AML by whole genome sequencing

Cytogenetics, FISH, and targeted sequencing routinely miss KMT2A partial tandem duplications. Across 230 clinical samples, whole genome sequencing found the alteration in 13 of them, 7% of AML patients, agreeing with RNA-seq in every case where both were run.
